The Heart that Travels

Having a child is the same as forever having your heart go walking around outside your body. No matter where they go your heart will always follow. Here is a record of the path my heart has taken this past week as my children meet each other for the first time.

The Traveler and Artist on St.Croix River

The Traveler meets sushi for the first time

The Traveler with the Artist and her family, 4th of July

On a road-trip the Traveler and Artist  find a part of Norway in North Dakota

The Traveler, Musician and Artist finally meet.

Every day we set our children free
we watch them soar
we watch them fall
they sing a song or skin a knee.

With every breath they take we breath
they fall in love
and so do we
simply put, they are you, they are me.

Hello Siv:

I suppose the old saying that one's home is where the heart is can be updated to the home is where my child is---at least in your case.

I have no children so do not understand this connection.

It's nice to see the pictures and the poem.

Take care overly concerned mamma in Norden,
Mike

This has been a stunning journey, Siv! How wonderful for you, to have the pieces of the puzzle start coming together. I hope at some point you'll be able to join in the reunions as well.

I love these shots, they are exactly what I needed. I have been dealing with dental issues so I have been a tad out of it. Thank heavens I have your divine blog to turn to. Missed you, girl.
