WYRD SISTERS

The original Wyrd Sisters were the three Norns, the Norse Goddesses of destiny. In Norse mythology they are female beings who rule the destiny of gods and men. These three fatalists can be found tending the ash tree Yggdrasil in Doomstead. They are Past, Present and Future, spinning your destiny at this very moment. URD does fate, VERDANDI does present and SKULD the future.

They are also engaged in tapestry work of such complexity that nothing ever gets finished. Until one of their Destiny tapestries is completed confusion and uncertainty will be the Norn. SKULD who is the youngest and most beautiful also takes time off to serve with the VALKYRIES on a voluntary basis.

Sorry guys but until I am not battling the flu, my posts will be short and Minnie is on vacation.

I LOVE the Wyrd Sisters. They are sooo magical to me, just the whole idea of them is poetic and mysterious. That picture is perfect!

Get well soon and take care of yourself. I think I must be a Wyrd Sister because I'm always doing stuff and not finishing it! I also wouldn't mind being SKULD - I'm a great believer in volunteering. LOL
