He kissed me on my cheek and said, "Everything is going to be alright." I do not know why I choose to believe him, but I did. For some strange reason this boy man who I have known for half of my life made me feel safe when others had failed. Suddenly I felt just maybe I could indure a little longer.
So many years now I have dreamed of this moment in time, he said "Hold on, the day is coming soon." I held my breath thinking this could not be true, but I put my faith in his hands and at that moment, looking into his eyes I knew he would never lie to me.
Wires here and wires there
Wires I swear everywhere
Find a plug and hope it's there
Electricity can be so unfair
Pull a fuse, shock a finger
Off and On the threat still lingers
Was listening to my favorite singers
Lost the tune, yet memories linger.
If anyone can make my dreams come true it is him. He will give me back light and warmth at the same time. I will no longer fear the call of the box and its confusing buttons. My hero of the hour I can not mention by name, because like most heroes he likes to live in the shadows. So this is for you, my dear old friend and electritian. Saw-man, sorry but this week end belongs to other tools! Ha ha, you guys were thinking something else? This week end is about renovation and finally getting more power around here!

I love this song and love the way you wrote this!
Very cool verse! And here I thought you were getting naughty. ;) Good luck with the renovations.
Good luck with the power. This is a beautiful post with an excellent verse. I too love that song. Hmmm...wouldn't mind meeting your electrician!
I'm married to an electrician and he still gives me a "charge".
I think I am in love.
