Why Gods and Fairytales?

The festivities are well under way. Today is the big reveal of my book trailer, which my son so graciously made for me as a birthday gift.  He has never done anything like this before so I was amazed at how well it turned out. What better place to have such a party than at the club Meilori's, so head on over to Writing in the Crosshairs and see what Roland Yeomans has planned. One more thing, you might want to bring along a little sugar. Trust me.

So you might be wondering what inspired me to write about Gods and Fairytales. Growing up I often felt disconnected from the world I lived in, and like the character in my book I discovered a secret about my family that made me realize why I was different. Secrets of the Ash Tree is the first book in a series about Gods and Fairytales. The stories are about myths and how they can relate to real life. There is a lot of symbolism in Norse mythology that I find fascinating and I have tried to incorporate that in my story.

You can get a sneak peak Here.

Tomorrow is mine and Rolands birthday so don't forget to SIGN UP HERE for the Norse Gods birthday blogfest! Which one of the Norse Gods is your favorite? See you over at Meilori's!

Love the cover and the premise of finding a box of secrets. Wouldn't most of us like to do that? I wish you much luck and many sales!

I'll have a post up on Wednesday, see you at Alex's. I'll drop by Roland's. Meilori's is a place to watch. Don't trust the rodent. He's a sugar freak.

Poor Ratatoskr. He is so well understood, that pesky gossip!

But he is proud of your trailer. He is still on the run from the ghost of Jack the Ripper for showing it by the way.

He'll be back at Meilori's on the 9th for your and my mutual birthday. And he'll be bringing company ... not necessarily friends!

D.G- LOL, yes a box of secrets would be great..if they were good ones!

Yolanda- Should be plenty of both since both Roland and I are celebrating!

Roland- Thanks so much for opening your club for me. Hope it is safe for Ratatoskr to come home now. He has eaten all my chocolate!
