Minnie and The Green Smile

It occurred to me that many of you do not know who Minnie is or have heard about her club, “Controlled Patriots of Standard Word Abuse- C.P.S.W.A.” Minnie appears usually on the last Friday of every month to share with you some of her “Minnie Words of Wisdom,” (Minnie-isms) and to play a game of gibberish with those who dare to think outside the box. Gibberish is a writing game that puts together a story using nonsense that makes sense. Minnie starts the story for you and each player contributes a few lines in the comment section that continue the story from the last comment posted. Click HERE for an example. This game continues over the week-end and Minnie finishes it off, posting the results on Monday. Sound like fun? Anyone can play this game and become a member of Minnie’s club. If you do it would be nice if you could support one of her banners on your page, but you don’t have too. So now let me tell you about Minnie.

This is Minnie
Minnie usually wears Red, but sometimes she may surprise you.  She may look tough but actually she is quite insecure. That is probably why she is such a grumpy old thing. I met Minnie years ago on the internet, where she came from before that I do not know. She seemed to be hiding out, homeless and ignored. Whenever I found myself cruising around in the image ghetto looking for a fix, I would run into her. Finally she just followed me home and has been living in my photos ever since. Every now and then Minnie likes to come out to play a game, share her opinions, or just be nasty. She is a big fan of the A-Z challenge and has a secret crush on all ninja’s, one with the name of Alex especially. Minnie is a rebel and does not abide by anyone’s rules. Minnie is on my case all the time. She tells me that I am selfish and that I should not spend so much time at my computer or on my hobbies. She tells me that I should study more, clean more, pay more attention to my family, and make more money. She also likes to point out all my bad habits and she teases me constantly. “Eat better, you are gaining weight, do you really need that chocolate now?" She spits out words like venom and tells me, “You look like an old hippie, get your hair cut and colored, put on some make-up and wear something other than jogging pants!” For the most part, I just ignore her until she goes away. It usually does not take long since she would rather be out traveling or at a party than hanging around here.

Because next week-end is Labor Day week-end and time for the big book fair and blogfest, Minnie is here now to play some gibberish with those who care to join in. Let's see what those creative little noodles of yours can come up with to challenge Minnie. Time for some Gibberish! Come back on Monday for the results and for a special book cover reveal. Until then, have a fantastic week-end!

THE GREEN SMILE

Spots of anger tried once again to sneak inside the clowns green velvet smile. The smile wore a secret between its teeth and anger wanted it back. Taking all its tools of despair, the spots of anger crawled under the green velvet and found to his surprise……(Your turn)

I am terrible at word games. Alex is just great at them.

But it looks like Minnie's Green Smile will be more fun than King's Green Mile! :-)

I'm not good at those either. Hope the next person can continue from Alex's contribution.

That something sweet and good was hiding in a crevice. A piece of German chocolate cake. Anger could not thrive in a sweet place. So he pulled a pick out of his back pocket and began chiseling away.
