Little Lizzy found
a rat pack in her neighbors closet, and was convinced they were spies from the
governments underwear drawer. Stashing her 3 cent lucky charm up her nose she
slithered around the corner and waited for the rest of the gang to get here.
In the meantime
every little noise or bump caused Lizzy to cough and splutter so much
she soon dislodged the 3 cent charm from her nostril causing it to fly across her room through a window. When it
finally landed, it did so in a horse’s trough where a pink little pig was
feasting. And the coin ended heads up in the water of the trough, ever so
slowly making its way to the bottom.
Lizzy scrambled from
the closet on the trail of the coin. Climbing to the top of the trough Lizzy
can see the shiny coin glittering from the rays of the sunshine, but how will
she get the coin from the bottom? This
would require the help from her friends who worked in the lucky coin factory
and had plenty of coins to spare on them at all times. When they finally arrived
Lizzy had her pick of a new coin. But the rat pack still lurked in the background
and they snuffled and snorted and gnawed on the door frame as they waited for the
men in black and the strange little girl with a coin in her nose to make their
move.
With their coins set on full blast they shot the rat spies
out of the closet and straight back to the government where they belonged. “All
in a day’s work.” Then they put on their sunglasses and walked away with Little
Lizzy skipping behind.

Loved it! Making something out of nothing ... isn't that what writing is all about? :-)
