What a feeling

Flash dance, what a feeling...Here today, gone tomorrow.

Time really is unfair. My son has left back to the states and although I feel lucky to have spent time with three of my children, my heart is heavy. Ying and yang, positive and negative, balance is what life is all about. Try to figure it out. Good luck with that. Hours with interruption have kept me busy for years trying to answer the simple question of “Why?” Have you heard the phrase, “What does not kill us, makes us stronger,” stronger for what? What, pray tell do we need to be so strong for? Why is everything so easy for some people and so hard for others? Why should some people get all the pain of sexual abuse, suicide, disease, death, poverty, betrayal, loss, and others skip through life on a basket of gold covered by a rainbow? You can work hard, be a good person, but that is no guarantee for a good life. Ying and yang I can understand. I just want to know who rolled the dice and why does the result seem so unfair. Maybe you on the other hand have lived life on a golden basket covered by a rainbow. Life is just a puzzle with pieces that make no sense. That is my conclusion, if you have a better answer I would love to hear it. Some pictures to share from his trip to Norway...Yes there is more, still trying to figure out this computer...

Glad you got to visit with your son. And yes, life is so unfair sometimes. And I'm not so sure others are sailing along as beautifully as we may think.

Hugs,
Shelly

I'm glad you enjoyed your kids' visit, even though I'm sure you wish it was permanent. This world is a mixture of good and evil - thus, the unfairness.
What did your son think of Norway?

There's so much to this world that I don't understand. I certainly haven't lived a golden life under a rainbow but, at the same time, I also have to count my lucky stars I wasn't born starving in the poorest country in the world. Glad you enjoyed your son's visit. I've been to Geirangerfjord and I doubt there's anything more beautiful.

Sorry to hear that your son's visit has come to an end, but I'm happy that you had him there and were able to enjoy such a wonderful visit.

Everything isn't always fair and who knows who rolls the dice. Unfortunately, there are no easy answers or explanations. Be well, my friend. :)

SURPRISE! Hi, Sis!

Yes, tis I, your long, lost cyber-brother. How appropriate for me to visit today when you are at your witts end.

I know life sucks at times, and God only knows you have certainly had your share of sorrow, stress, tension, heart ache, etc. BUT... on the plus side you now have your children back in your life!

Imagine not having found them again. Now your heart aches differently. It aches from missing them, and KNOWING what you actually are missing. Before, the unknown was eating you alive.

I know it's not fair, but remembering the happy times you have shared on this visit will keep you warm through your long, cold winter.

The fjords look STUNNING. If I can manage it, I will see them next summer. I need to hug my big sis! Sharing a similar heritage in Norway will be the most special time of my life.

Although i am mixed, I need to know this side of my bloodlines. I will always have my italian heart and soul, but my strength, as yours sis, must come from the Norwegian side.

I recall the beautiful post you did last summer about our meeting. It still brings a tear to my eye.

I know I have been away for a while, but I am back to hold you up if you need a helping hand and I do have broad shoulders if you need one to cry on...

Miss you.

Bro

I hope you guys re-unite soon. Life may seem unfair but I believe eventually God will give everyone what they justly deserve.

I'm so glad you got to spend that time with all of them together.

You are beautiful and all of your children definitely got your good genes :)
